Marketing Assistant

Who are we looking for? Sela Designs is looking for someone who is hardworking, adaptable, has a positive outlook, gives attention to detail, and willing to work in a team environment. This candidate must be willing to work in a fast paced environment and be driven to continuously look for ways to improve quality and process.

Position: Marketing Assistant, part time (10-12 hours/week with potential to increase). Can be remote, but local to Appleton, WI area preferred.

Salary range: $25-$35 hourly, based on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following areas are where the marketing team member will be contributing (but not limited) to:

  • Email campaign management
  • Text Message campaign management
  • Social Media (as needed)
  • Website graphics & Maintenance
  • SEO for websites
  • Copy writing (as needed)

Every marketing team member will receive essential one on one training in the above areas and is subject to a 4 week trial period.

The team member will be expected to perform the following primary functions:

  • Create and schedule email campaigns
  • Create and schedule text messaging campaigns
  • Create graphics for social media campaigns
  • Create website graphics (2xs per month)
  • Add updates to Shopify & Wordpress websites
  • Edit website for SEO (Shopify & Wordpress)
  • Copy writing for print materials, blog posts & website (as needed) 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must support the mission and purpose of Sela Designs.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred. Will consider candidate without degree with 3+ years of experience in marketing field.
  • 1+ year of experience working in Marketing.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Canva, Adobe Suite, Wordpress, Instagram and Shopify a plus.
  • Be adaptable to pivot working on various tasks as needed.
  • Have a positive attitude towards others and the work. Must be willing to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to take responsibility in job performance.
